I looked up campgrounds in last year's AAA book. The only open ones
in CT are far away in Ashford, East Lyme, North Stonington, Old
Mystic, and Preston. Many motels/hotels in the area are booked for
college graduations too.
Maybe a private campground owner could be convinced to open early for
a group???
Let us know if the event is still on, at least for the day.

Hi,
Hey, I'm there for the day, driving in from
NH. Sorry about the lodging problem, but there must be places that people
can stay somewhere within easy driving distance!
I don't mind the commute from NH,
myself.
Cheerfully,
Ais

RE: Camping woes,
I can offer space in a field but my bathroom is not
quite finished with remodeling and my inside shower is
not running yet. Although outside water to faucets
works just fine. If anyone wants to tent it out in the
field their certainly welcome to. Theres a fire pit
and picnic table out there. It's rural. Can have a
nice fire the night before. I'll suplly wood. BUT
it's almost as far as Ashford. Please email to
journeys@snet.net for info.
It's free!
